Privacy Policy

What we collect (and where it lives)

• Quiz answers (in your browser): Your selections stay on your device so you can come back. Use “Clear progress” to remove them.
• Results link (in your browser address bar): Your results are inside the web address (after ?r=). If you share that address, you share your results.
• Provider filters (in your browser): If you use provider filters (ZIP, insurance, language, telehealth), they stay on your device so your filters stay.
• ZIP lookup (optional): If you enter a ZIP code to sort by distance, we send the ZIP to our server to look up coordinates. We do not save the ZIP. Results are cached for a short time.
• Basic usage notes: We keep simple site-usage notes (like whether the quiz started or finished). These notes are not linked to your name or email. Server logs may include IP address and browser type.
• Optional email (only if you provide it): If you enter an email for the toolkit or to be notified about the provider shortlist, it is sent to our server. We use it only for that request. Shortlist emails use Mailchimp and require double opt-in.

What we do not do

• We do not require an account or email.
• We do not ask for your name, phone, or address in the quiz.
• We do not store raw quiz answers in a database.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or medical advice.

Children’s privacy

Therapy Fit is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information, contact support@therapyfit.org and we’ll delete it.

Sharing

If you share the Results page address, you share your results because the address contains a long code with your results.

If you submit an email for notifications, it is shared with Mailchimp (our email provider) to confirm and send the email.

External links

Therapy Fit links to other websites (provider sites, hotlines, directories). Those sites have their own privacy policies.
